On camp there are a list of activities carefully planned to help develop the spiritual, social and personal development of all campers.
Here are a few items and a brief description of each
* Devotions | Daily Morning & Evening Devotions are organized & led by the various teams assigned on camp. Each day’s theme is examined and the camp is engaged in spirtual fellowship | |
* Keep Fit | Excercise, streching are important to begin a healthy day’s journey. Fitness instructors take through the camp each morning with routines to get the blood circulating and everyone engergize for the next day. | |
* Discussions | Team Leaders and assigned facilitators engage the camp with discussions for spiritual and personal development. Sessions are generally broken down by age groups. | |
* Indoor & Outdoor Games | There are quizes, trivia, dominoes, various competitions running through the week in which campers compete for prizes and points towards the final camp day group awards | |
* Debates | Debates on topical and biblical issues are presented. Selected campers get some time to research, study and present issues as they develop their public speaking skills. | |
* Banquet Night | Campers get a chance to take out their formal wear and get an opportunity to be exposed to certain formalities & learn about Etiquette & socialization skills | |
* Sports Day | Usually on Fridays we have our Sports Day where all the teams competete in track & fields and fun events to get a final tally on points that they have been accumulating throughout the week. | |
* Concert Night | Campers are entertained by performances of fellow campers. This includes short plays, singing, poetry & forms of the creative arts | |
* Pan Fire Night | Jerk/Grill/Baked name it, once it can be out on the grill it’s out there. This night the campers get to tatse food, jamaican style! Usually there is a devotion session where campers form a circle and sing songs and give thanks for a week of God’s provision while the grill fire is on roasting sausages, marshmellows, you name it. Pan Fire is usually the Last night of camp, and campers get a chance to lyme and be entertained. |
